2008 Car Sales looking grim

sales.jpgNot that this is some type of ground-breaking announcement. Freep.com discusses the outlook for 2008 car sales, and it's not great--even to go as far to say that the estimates are the worst in over 10 years. Ouch.

Well, chalk it up to paying darn near 3.50 a gallon of gas, combined with soaring car prices, and even the housing situation with credit issues have dipped deep into the pockets of car owners and therefore affecting literally everything in the American economy. Ford is more than likely going to bow to Toyota after they were outold by over 15,000 cars in November. (And Ford wasn't even number 1).

The news just continues to get worse and worse, and this will mean more job cuts, and maybe even pulling or pushing back production on new models and development, which could mean a trickle-down effect that could cripple the automaker's world. Yipes.
