2010 Honda Insight Official Photo!

2010_honda_insight_official_photos_and_info_car_news_submodel_full.jpg

The Honda Insight, which I have discussed before as one of the concept cars waaaaaaaay before its "time" so to speak, was originally released in 1999 as the first hybrid car, and people scoffed at it. Why? Why would we need such a thing? So...you think this what they are saying now?

Nope.

Honda has decided to bring back the model and will unveil the concept at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, but the model looks like its well on its way for production. Word is that the car will be lighter than the Civic and will be priced around 19K to start--keeping it in the affordable part of its segment, which is a welcome sign for those people who don't want to pay outrageous prices for hybrids like the Toyota Prius.

But--don't she look just like a Prius? Hmmm...Hmmm? The old models had the odd look in the back which clearly distinguished it, whereas this one really has that distinct Prius flavor...interesting..I guess imitation is the best form of flattery!
