Average US Gas Prices--October 14, 2008

The silver lining to the stock market dropping, along with the gas demand and supply shifting gears as well, has meant a big dip in prices across the country. Here's the numbers, courtesy of consumer reports:

Price Change from last week
East Coast $3.22 ↓ .32
-New England $3.10 ↓ .29
-Central Atlantic $3.19 ↓ .25
-Lower Atlantic $3.29 ↓ .38
Midwest $2.99 ↓ .40
Gulf Coast $2.99 ↓ .45
Rocky Mountain $3.27 ↓ .23
West Coast $3.42 ↓ .15
-California $3.47 ↓ .13

I am lucky to be in the Midwest where the drop has been the biggest overall--heck, even today I saw gas for 2.74!! This trend is likely to see saw for a while as the travel season drops considerably, and barring any political issues in oil-producing countries, we should see this level here for a while (crosses fingers).
