CR-Z Hybrid to mix best of both worlds

071009003.jpg

One of the things I almost always hear about the Toyota Prius is that “Wow, it’s a great product, but couldn’t they pretty it up a bit?” What people a lot of time forget though is that not only do these hybrid and fuel efficient cars work well on the inside, but they are often time taking it a step further by making the design more aerodynamic. But I do agree that if I had the opportunity to make it look better, I would.

But when Honda came out with its design for the CR-Z Hybrid, those that are looking for a sporty look and fuel economy to boot may have gotten what they were looking for—as well as a bit bigger engine. The coupe is expected to have possibly a 1.6L versus the expected 1.4L and a more powerful version of the i-VTEC four cylinder engine.

If you take a look at this picture of it, you’ll see what I am talking about. It still has the somewhat aerodynamic design to it, but it looks to me like a smushed DeLorean, which I guess is not above all, but hey—it could be designed like the Prius, right? 
