Gas pump US averages going down slowly but surely

gas_pump2.png

Or is it surely? While the only rises occurred in the Gulf Coast and lower Atlantic, much in due part to the uncertain weather going through there now and possibly what is to come, overall there was a small drop in gas prices to start September.

National retail fuel price averages with change from last week:

Regular gasoline/gallon $3.68 ↓ .01
Diesel fuel/gallon $4.12 ↓ .02

Regional regular gasoline prices

East Coast $3.63 ↓ .00
-New England $3.64 ↓ .02
-Central Atlantic $3.63 ↓ .03
-Lower Atlantic $3.63 ↑ .02
Midwest $3.67 ↓ .01
Gulf Coast $3.58 ↑ .06
Rocky Mountain $3.81 ↓ .02
West Coast $3.86 ↓ .05
-California $3.91 ↓ .05

Oil prices dropped over 4.00 a gallon yesterday as Hurricane Gustav didn't have the same hit that many thought. Will it continue? My wallet certainly hopes so!!!
