GM turns 100...yippee...or something

2011_chevrolet_volt_image_main.jpg

Break out the balloons, man! General Motors turns 100! This is just about as anti-climactic as the "we wasted the good surprise" sequence from "Big Daddy". Amid all of the groans and despair following the auto industry, GM celebrates the good ole' times of their auto making career--more than likely the first, what, say, 98 years? Because the last two years are nothing to smile about.

GM will hold the “Future of Transportation: The Next 100 Years” discussing what’s in store for GM in the coming years. Hopefully it will mention something about making money instead of losing it--that's just a hunch though. We'll also get the official look at the mysterious Volt, which again is a bit anti-climactic after the snafu of the photos leaked to the web a week ago. DOH! (Methinks someone lost their job over that little fiasco...)

I guess I should be a little positive, shouldn't I? Wait...I think I may have something here...Ok, never mind. Not today.

You can join all the fun by going to http://day.gmnext.com.
