Toyota lowers US Sales estimate again

god_test_sad face.jpg

Toyota's forecast continues to get dimmer by the minute. October sales dipped by over 26 percent, and Toyota had previously forecast that it expected U.S. sales of 2.44 million units in 2008 previously--and now it's down to 2.2 to maybe 2.3 million after October's numbers.

The lows in the automotive industry have not been seen in almost 25 years, and while the dip in sales for Toyota wasn't as bad as the US was overall--32 percent--Toyota still isn't feeling good about things, extending its zero percent financing through November. Every automaker posted losses for the second consecutive month, so it is not like Toyota is alone, but this is something that the Japanese auto maker is obviously not sitting idly by--but would you expect anything different?
